About Emily
I am currently enrolled in my junior year at Columbia College Chicago in the Fine Arts program with two minor concentrations in Art History and Arts Management. I have been and continue to always be a student like you with a passion for creating, studying, and loving the arts. Even if one is familiar with or holds experience in a medium or form, that level of understanding can always be expanded. I work in mediums ranging from painting (watercolor, oil, acrylic), drawing (charcoal, color pencil), printmaking, and mixed media.
I went to a 6-12 Fine and Performing Arts magnet school, Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts, and continue to receive instruction from a college-level fine arts school in the heart of Chicago. I've had numerous close student-teacher relationships with my instructors and have a sense of closely inspecting how and way they conduct their classes the ways they chose based on content and criteria. I am also a student worker at my school's printmaking facility where I have access to instructional specialists most times of the day.

First I would like to know whatever background information the student is comfortable sharing with me, and this can range from personal interest to personal history with the arts as well as previous instruction. Then, I would be happy to share those same aspects of myself to form a trustworthy connection and go forward from there. It would be preferable but not required to see a portfolio of past and or current work and then discuss what the student wished to improve or become more familiar with.
