I specialize in guiding students to discover their creative voice and hone their skills in order to become the artist that they dream of being. You will receive lots of individualized attention, custom-taylored to fit you and your goals.

I got started teaching when my friends asked me to show them how to paint. The more I shared, the more students I gained and it has snowballed from there. My students won't let me quit.

Degreed with over 35 years in the Arts Industry. International art illustrations and artworks sold. Art Director, Licensing Director, Book Illustrator, Fine Arts Instructor, Fine Art and Fine Art sales worldwide.

About the lesson

Rather than doing ‘paint-a-long’ classes or giving restrictive structured lessons; each student chooses his or her own medium, subject, and pace. This allows them the freedom to develop their own unique body of work and focus on creating what they want to create.

I prefer to arrange for a phone consultation to understand better what the student's goals are. I request images texted of previous work (if a student has work), and this shows me their skill level and from which point I need to begin their training.

I do teach children ages 14+ (occassionally younger) after an in-person consultation with both the parents and the child, to determine if I am a good fit for the student and if the student is a good fit for my style of teaching.

Every lesson is relaxed, fun and informative.

My students range from ages 9 to in their 80's. Visit my Student Showcase to view some of the thousands of students I've taught through the years and their paintings.

If you are sincere about learning fine art skills, whether for pleasure or as a serious study, then contact me. I can take you where you want to go.

If you're wanting to try painting just to see if you like it, try taking a 'Paint & Sip' (they go by differing names) party first. Fine Art Supplies are usually quite expensive, so if you're not sure, a paint party can give you an idea of what creating with paint is about. I've gain many students over the years who've come from these parties and wanted more.

I'm currently offering only private instruction because of the health situation. Lessons run $85/hour with a two hour minimum.
