About Eileen
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with students of all backgrounds. I am known primarily for my portrait work as well as plein aire and figurative painting. I am considered a contemporary realist painter specializing in pastel, oil, charcoal and graphite.
I started selling paintings and taking portrait commissions full time in 1974. I traveled in art shows throughout New England and New York. In 2003 I cofounded Imago Gallery where I am now based and exhibit as an artist member. I still do portrait work and I teach privately.
I worked for 10 years at the East Side Art Center, a community art school in Providence, RI, teaching oil painting and portraits. From there I began teaching privately.
I have 45 years experience painting and selling professionally. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2003 from the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, CT.
I have studied with numerous working artists privately.

I will meet a prospective student at his/her location for an initial interview to discuss interests and studio needs. If we are a good fit we will decide on day, time and location of weekly lessons. I can teach in the student's studio or the student may take lessons at my studio.

Details
