About David
I have been teaching watermedia classes and workshops for more than two decades. I also teach students individually at my frame shop at 85 Homer Ave in Cortland. I have taught workshops nationally including Sedona, AX, Maine, the Georgia Lowlands, and the Smokie Mountains, and internationally including three workshops in Ireland, one in Barcelona, and one on Lake Como, Italy.

If you are a new student with no experience, a few one-on-one lessons help to get off to a good start. Class settings are good because of the peer encouragement and learning from one another. Attending a workshop is a great way to quick start the learning process, because you will paint with instruction for up to 24 hours in a weeklong workshop, twice the number in a 2-week workshop. This is equivelant to 1/2 year to a full year of instruction at one hour/week.

Details
Private one-hour lessons are $30. Two hour classes range from $7per class (underwritten by a grant) to $12.50 per class. One week workshops average around $750 for accomodations (room) and instructional fee.
