Rae is a fantastic teacher: I really thought I was not able to paint or draw, but under her patient leadership I am now very proud to be able to paint my own cards for friends... Rae gives us the right amount of support: enough so we don't get discouraged, but not too much so we can learn from our small mistakes.

Rae is a great instructor on so many counts! She structures the classes in such a way that, even though there’s a range of skill levels in the class, everyone is engaged and it isn’t overly technical for the less experienced students. She chooses different pieces to teach different skills and gives clear demos explaining how to approach each painting, and the rationale for that strategy. She’s particularly adept at looking at student work and identifying what to add or change to make it work or to take it to the next level. We always have a great time in class with Rae!
