About Lisa

I have over 20 years of experience. I have worked as a professional Police Sketch Artist, designer, Illustrator and art educator. I teach traditional drawing and digital drawing. I specialize in realistic classical drawing, perspective drawing, cartooning, caricatures, drawing people and pets, and illustration. I love to teach the tricks I have learned during my career to all skill levels. These tips and tricks make drawing easy and fun. Learning to draw is about learning to look close at the beautiful world around us. Sketching a garden or a tree can allow you to sit quietly and explore the amazing world you live in. Drawing teaches the younger student patience and teaches the senior student that we are all curious life long learners. Adults all ages. Youth lessons: 10 years old and up. I enjoy working with all ages and skill levels. Drawing is a great hobby to take up in retirenment. I have taught many seniors the joy of drawing.

I started teaching private lessons at the request of several clients that had purchased my fine art and were interested in learning how to draw. I found out that I just loved to teach. I then started teaching as an artist-in-residence at several different public schools and a community education classes.

About the lesson

I enjoy working with new students. I listen to what they want to achieve and what they expect to learn. I then map out an individual learning plan for that specific student. Everyone learnes at a different pace and has skills and expectations unique to them.

I have worked with all age levels from kindergarten to senior citizens. They are all unique and fun to teach.
