About Kim

I have a Bachors Degree in Art Education. I have recently started using my Art to create teaching materials for teachers.

I have always wanted to be a teacher and have always expressed myself through visual Arts. My degrees are in Art Edcuation and a Masters in Education open the door of opportunity to combine these two passions.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Art Education. I have taught students aged 4 -11 in classroom setting, also children and adults with private sessions. I have been teaching 27 years. Mediums I prefer are acrylic painting, pencil, and ink.

About the lesson

My preference is to have students let me know their interests. This will help narrow down a starting point. Also knowing their skill level with chosen medium.

I have mostly taught school age children 3- 12 years of age. These students were/are taught in traditional classroom setting. I have also taught 6-19 year olds in summer camp settings. I also have teaching experience with adults (mostly senior citizens) in programs associated with senior citizen/assited living housing.

The students should have an idea of what they want. For example: do they need the basics of Art Composition, choose one medium, one art style, and choose a theme. When the student knows what they want, the experience will be more enjoyable and productive.

An outdoor lego sculpture exhibit. Legos used to create larger than life insects. Also, another outdoor exhibit of giant sculpted trolls. I am not a 3D artist , but I love to view this type of Art. I am amazed at the ability of these Artists.

Details

I teach 30 minutes sessions. The standard price for a 30 minute session is $20. Price may vary depending on special requests, etc...

I prefer one of two ways to begin:

1) the student knows what they want and we can begin session one getting started

2) session one can be spent discussing and planning a project
