About Nikita
I am a recent college graduate looking to tutor in Biology! I have a dual degree in Biological Sciences and Neuroscience. I have 2.5 years of experience working as a teaching assistant for Freshman biology/chemistry students.
I love teaching Biology because it is a subject I am very passionate about! I want to help students understand the full foundations of biology so that they can apply their lesson to the world around them. I look to help students not only understand the specific lesson, but also apply what they learned to other aspects of science as well.
I have a dual degree in related fields from the University of Delaware. I have experience working as a Kumon Tutor, and teaching preschool-high school age kids in Math and Reading for all ages. I have 2.5 years of experience being a teaching assistant for Undergraduates in Biology/Chemistry.

I like to first know where the student is at, academically. Knowing their level of knowledge is crucial in determining how I teach. Then, I would find out how they learn best. Are they a visual learner, or auditory? Do they need to write things down to learn? Then, I would teach the lesson in the way that is most beneficial to their style of learning. Throughout the lesson, I would give "checkpoints", to see how much information they are understanding.
