About Amy
Hi! My service as a tutor stands out thanks to my huge breadth of experience at various age/grade levels. I’ve recently graduated from university with a BS in Biology. I graduated with honors, cum laude, and was awarded Biology Undergraduate of the Year 2019. During my studies, I tutored other college students in Biology subjects like A&P, Gen. Biology, Cell Biology, Botany, Ornithology, Plant Physiology, Herpetology, and other related studies. During that time, I worked as a substitute teacher for grades 7-9 at a local Montessori school. Currently, I teach grades 1-6 at that same Montessori school. I’ve had practice exciting students from 6 to 25 years old about complex biology subjects!
I’ve found that one of the most enjoyable parts of my job is watching that “click” moment when I see a student level-up in their understanding of a biological topic. I love having dynamic and in-depth conversations with students about the magic of biology and seeing that passion and excitement become contagious.
