About Daniel
Hi students! My name is Dr. Daniel. I graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with an Engineering degree and started my career as a public school teacher, where I taught Physics and Mathematics to high school students for 4 years. After which, I moved to the private education sector, and have been teaching Math and Physics at various private schools for the past 16 years. I am also a premium instructor at Udemy, where I created 6 online courses in high school Mathematics and Physics, of which I received an average of 4.5/5 star reviews. As a firm believer in lifelong learning, I enrolled in the Ph.D. program from Asia e University in Malaysia and successfully obtained my PhD in Education in 2019. For a typical lesson, teaching or review of a topic commences by explaining the main concepts to the student. The concepts are introduced in stages, starting with the beginning sub-topic, then go through examples, with step-by-step problem-solving techniques. This is followed by letting the student try out some examples. Sometimes, I may intentionally twist or modify the examples to test the understanding of the student. Once the student understands the concepts, I will then move on to the next sub-topic, and the cycle repeats until the whole chapter is covered. I am very flexible when it comes to the teaching part, a lot of the time, it depends on the learning needs of the student. This means each lesson is highly customized to fit each student.
