About Maria
I am an Assistant Principal at an outstanding school in north London, where I have worked for four years. My specialism is Early Years and Early Reading in particular though, as a primary teacher, I enjoy teaching a wide range of subjects. In my own education I studied Russian at the University of Leeds, with maths and later went on to complete my teaching qualification with Teach First at the Institute of Education. I later completed my MA at UCL in Educational Leadership and am partway through the Fellowship Programme, Teacher Educator, with Ambition Institute. I have a real love of learning and enjoy sharing this with colleagues and students alike on a daily basis. Aside from my the academic I have a real passion for the Arts having worked as a Vocal Coach for a musical theatre company for two summers and being part of an international theatre company whilst living in Moscow. I think the key to a high quality education is through consistency, high expectations and care. To Whom It May Concern:
Maria Craster has been working as a teacher with the MAGIC CASTLE Nursery School September 2015-May 2016.
Over this time she has been responsible for teaching Nursery programme to children 1,5-3 years old as well as English classes to mixed age groups (for children from 6 to 14 years old). Apart from English Curriculum and YLE exam preparation classes Ms Craster taught music, singing and acting for preschool children.
Maria Craster has proved to be an enthusiastic and energetic teacher, determined to do her best for her students’ progress. Always full of ideas about how to make learning enjoyable, Ms Craster is ready to introduce new ways of teaching and appreciates training and professional development.
