About Hannah
I am a student with many years of experience tutoring and volunteering with children. I believe using personalisation and varied learning techniques while creating a relaxing environment is the best way to teach. I am exceptionally passionate about English, Maths and languages. I use patterns to remind pupils about grammar concepts, Maths knowledge and writing techniques. This has a great impact on the knowledge, recall and problem-solving abilities of learners and all of my pupils who have sat their SATs or 11+ (and GCSE even) have passed. My teaching methods are interactive and varied. It is essential to focus on all English language skills so for reading, we look at texts that cater to each student's individual interests. Pupils who aren't keen on writing often find that by using drama and involving verbal description makes creative writing far more interesting and attainable. Finally, grammar is a topic that scares many learners but positivity, games and practical activities all contribute to this becoming easier. Depending on which skills parents wish me to cover, lessons should be between half an hour and 45 minutes for maximum engagement. This is aimed at KS2 pupils and lower-level KS3 students. I have succeeded to help many pupils pass their SATs exams and 11+ tests, and have been tutoring for 4 years.
