About Grace
I hold a degree in English from VCU and have worked as both a preschool and K-12 teacher. I have a range of experience working with various ages, personalities, and skill levels, making me adaptable to the needs of different students. Since college I've tutored my peers on writing academic papers, simple essays, emails, and more.

My teaching method is based on reflection and collaboration. Focusing on writing, it's important to be able to bounce your ideas off of someone else who is able to provide feedback and critique. A lesson in this subject would include discussions on works in progress, as well as plotting for further developments. With reading and comprehending literature, I want to first establish where the student is at with their subject knowledge and understanding. Going from there, we can personalize a method to deepen understanding based on how receptive the student is to different strategies. My lessons are for K-12 pupils as well as college students!
