About Ria
I am a professional double bass player, and have been working as a performer and teacher since graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2015. I have played at many prestigious venues around the UK and have also held teaching positions in schools and music services as well as teaching privately at my home. Recently I have adapted to online teaching and am happy to work through this medium.

My teaching is always tailored to meet the needs of my students. It is important that we get the basics, such as technique and musical knowledge right, but beyond that I will adapt to the students aims, whether that is to work through graded exams, to play in a group or to make music in their own time. Mostly I want my students to enjoy playing and to be proud of their own progress
