About Zachary
Hi! My name is Zach and I am currently a 4th year student at the University of Bath studying Aerospace Engineering. I enjoy studying Maths/Physics/Engineering and helping others to understand concepts that I once found difficult and confusing too. I have a strong academic record, achieving 15 GCSEs, including A*s in Mathematics, Numeracy, Physics, & Chemistry. In my A-levels I achieved 4 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, & EPQ. Since attending university, I have scored 100% in advanced mathematics modules, and currently hold the highest average of my Aerospace Engineering cohort. I have also spent a placement year working for Williams Racing F1 Team following a rigorous academic selection process. Although I have done well in my exams, that wasn't always the case, and I understand what it is like to struggle with understanding a subject. In school I often found that teachers would not have time to develop understanding, and instead move quickly through the syllabus, which without understanding the basics would just create a larger issue!

I take a student-led approach focusing on the specific areas the student is stuck on/having difficulty with. This method of teaching gives the most value to the student, rather than wasting time covering topics they are confident with. Through my lessons I aim to develop understanding of the topic, allowing students to tackle the more modern, in-depth exam style questions that target understanding, rather than just memory (that reward more marks!). Zach was a great help to my son in his GCSE Maths exams last year - always very friendly, punctual and often going above and beyond in helping my son get through problems.
Couldn’t recommend him more to anyone!!Zach helped my daughter for her GCSEs and was always on time, persistent (!), and friendly. They key difference was helping her feel more confident with the material, and apparently ‘making her realise it wasn’t as difficult as in school’. Thank you!
