About Amisha
Hey, I’m Amisha! I studied Accounting and Finance at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce — one of the top business schools in the country — and I’m now working in New York in the finance industry. Tutoring has always been something I’m super passionate about because I genuinely love seeing that moment when something finally clicks for a student!
I know what it feels like to sit in class and have absolutely no idea what’s going on — and I also know what it feels like to finally understand it and ace the test. That’s exactly the experience I want to give every student I work with. I don’t just throw formulas at you and hope for the best — I take the time to understand how you learn best and explain things in a way that actually makes sense to you.
With my background in Accounting, Finance, Math, Algebra and Statistics, I can help you at any level — whether you’re just starting out or trying to push your grade from a B to an A. I’m patient, encouraging and I will never make you feel embarrassed for not knowing something. Every question is a good question in my sessions! Students who work with me consistently feel more confident and less stressed and actually start to enjoy the subjects they used to dread.
Outside of tutoring, I’m a huge pickleball fan and love staying active through martial arts and Pilates. I also love cooking, enjoy a good debate and have a bit of a nerdy side when it comes to analyzing data — so we’ll definitely find common ground!
