About Alina

Hello! My name is Alina. I was born and raised in Brazil, but live with my family on Vancouver Island, Canada. I am an experienced and dedicated ESL tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence in their English skills. I have worked closely with learners of different ages and backgrounds in both one-on-one and group settings, supporting them in developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities in a clear and patient way. For speaking practice, I encourage natural conversation and offer gentle corrections that help students improve without disrupting confidence.

Typical lesson plan
A typical lesson begins with a short review or warm-up to reinforce previous learning. New material is then introduced in a clear and manageable way, followed by guided practice through conversation, reading, writing, videos, games, or listening activities. Lessons conclude with a recap and, when appropriate, suggestions for practice between sessions.
