About Zander
I’m a high school graduate with a strong passion for music and teaching. I’ve performed in many ensembles including concert bands, jazz big bands, orchestras, marching bands, and various music gigs. My main instrument is the tuba, but I’ve been playing brass instruments including tuba, trumpet, baritone, euphonium, and trombone for about nine years.
I enjoy helping students grow as musicians and build confidence in their playing. My goal is to help students improve while also creating a real passion for music.

In my lessons, we spend time working on important technique like posture, breathing, fingerings, scales, and tone so students develop good habits early on. I also work with students with music that introduces new ideas like different rhythms, time signatures, and musical expression. I focus on setting goals, and helping each student grow into a stronger and more motivated musician.
My lessons are 30-45 minutes long and designed to help students build strong fundamentals while still having fun with music.
I also like to include fun music theory activities and games that help students understand how music works without it feeling boring or like school work. My goal is to keep lessons encouraging and engaging while helping students steadily improve.
