About Patrick
Hi! I am an experienced English language teacher with a master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), a Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) and a bachelor’s degree in English literature.
I have 12 years of experience teaching English in language schools and as a private tutor, teaching students from all over the world. I am very friendly and patient and I will help you to feel relaxed and comfortable as we study together.
I specialise in general English, academic English, IELTS, Cambridge exams, English for work and business and skills focus classes. Whatever your learning requirements, I can meet help you meet them.

I am familiar with a wide range of approaches and adapt my approach to the specific requirements of each student and class type. For general English, I find a communicative approach often works best with a focus on fluency while for exam classes (IELTS, Cambridge etc.) I often employ a target language-centred approach focusing on the specific language or strategy required and then practising using it. Most importantly, I will find out which approach works best for you as an individual. All students are different.
