About Eddie
My name Eddie Emessiri. I am a retired University teacher and has always loved teaching students interested in learning and improving their knowledge English either as a First or second language. . Students learning English as a Second language have particular difficulties because of the influence of their own mother tongue. So I give special attention to ensure you do not have unnecessary difficulties in pronunciation, spelling and the construction of correct sentences.

English language is easy to learn and grasp if you pay attention to specific language rules which you must try to practice in your spare time. We have simple rules on how to speak, using different tones, there is the spelling rule where you have words that have same spelling but different pronunciations, you have to master the verbs in English because they represent action taking place now, action that has taken place (past) and those that will take place in future. They are called Present , Past and Future tenses. And there are actions taking place and continuing for some time( present and past continuous)
Then you have to understand the making up of a sentence by using different words to make sense. Here you have the subject, the verb and the object or the person affected by the action. The subject must also align with the verb as a single subject tallies with a singular verb while the plural subject talies with a plural verb.
