About Rukhsana

Hello! I'm Rukhsana Mustafa Khakvi, a passionate Chemistry tutor with over five years of teaching experience. I hold a Master of Science (MSc) in Zoology, and throughout my teaching career I have helped students build confidence in science by making challenging concepts easier to understand.

I specialize in teaching Cambridge and Edexcel Chemistry for IGCSE, O Level, AS Level, and A Level students. My passion for Chemistry comes from its ability to explain the world around us—from the reactions happening inside our bodies to the materials we use every day. I enjoy helping students discover that Chemistry is a logical and fascinating subject rather than one to fear.

My teaching philosophy is simple: every student can succeed when they receive clear explanations, patient guidance, and consistent encouragement. I focus on creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, thinking critically, and learning from their mistakes.

I continuously update my teaching resources to stay aligned with current Cambridge and Edexcel syllabuses, ensuring that my students receive lessons that are both concept-driven and exam-focused. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a student gain confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve results they once thought were beyond their reach.

Whether you're aiming to strengthen your fundamentals, improve your grades, or prepare for important examinations, I look forward to helping you achieve your goals and develop confidence in Chemistry.

About the lesson

Chemistry becomes much easier when you understand the "why" behind every concept. My lessons are designed to build a strong conceptual foundation while developing the problem-solving skills needed to succeed in examinations.

Each lesson is personalized according to your current level, learning pace, and academic goals. Whether you are preparing for IGCSE, O Level, AS Level, A Level, or Edexcel and Cambridge examinations, I will help you understand the syllabus with confidence.

During our lessons, you can expect:

Clear, step-by-step explanations of difficult concepts. Interactive teaching using digital whiteboards, diagrams, and visual examples.
Worked examples followed by guided practice.
Extensive practice with past papers and exam-style questions.
Techniques to avoid common mistakes and maximize marks.
Regular progress checks and constructive feedback.
Revision strategies, summary notes, and homework when needed.

I encourage students to ask questions freely and develop confidence in solving unfamiliar problems rather than relying on memorization. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and interactive, creating a comfortable learning environment where students can progress at their own pace.

Whether you need regular weekly lessons, help with a challenging topic, or intensive revision before your exams, I will provide structured guidance to help you achieve your academic goals and develop a genuine understanding of Chemistry.
