About Sneha
Hi there! I'm Sneha, and if you've made it this far, I'm guessing you're either a parent looking for the right tutor for your child, or a student secretly hoping this tutor isn't going to be boring. Good news, I'm not!
I've been teaching for 6 years now, including a stint as a full-time CBSE school teacher, and somewhere along the way, I realized that the students who struggle the most are usually the ones who just need someone to explain things differently, not louder, not faster, just differently. That's what I try to do.
I also spent years preparing for civil services exams, which gave me a genuinely deep, real-world understanding of History, Geography, Civics, and Current Affairs, the kind that goes beyond what's in the textbook. So if you ever need a fun fact mid-lesson, I've probably got one ready.
My classes are relaxed, a little chatty, and occasionally have a bad joke or two thrown in (my students seem to enjoy them more than I expected). I believe learning works best when you're not afraid to ask a "silly" question, because honestly, there's no such thing.

My classes are intended for school students from Grades 6 to 10, following CBSE, ICSE, or State Board syllabi, in Social Studies, English, and Science.
Each session usually begins with a quick recap of the previous topic to reinforce memory, followed by introducing the new concept through simple explanations and real-life examples rather than direct textbook reading. I encourage students to ask questions throughout, since I believe understanding happens through discussion, not silence. Towards the end of each class, I give short practice questions to check understanding on the spot, and I always note down areas that need more focus for the next session.
What makes my teaching different is the personal attention I give to each student's specific gaps, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. I also bring in my background from civil services exam preparation, which means I can connect Social Studies and Current Affairs topics to real-world context, making the subject far more interesting than a typical textbook approach. Parents often tell me their child started actually looking forward to studying, that's the kind of shift I aim for in every class.
