About Aria

I am a Biology tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MSc in Biotechnology. My passion lies in marine biology and the fascinating, mysterious ecosystems of the deep sea. I am captivated by the hidden worlds found around hydrothermal vents, where life thrives in extreme conditions. I explore topics such as bioluminescence, the incredible adaptations of deep-sea organisms, and the unique ecological systems that remain largely unexplored. These subjects reveal the beauty and complexity of life under the ocean’s surface. I aim to make these ideas engaging and accessible to my students. My lessons go beyond textbooks. I encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for biodiversity. I guide students in understanding not only marine life but also the ecological processes that shape our oceans. I also address the challenges of ocean exploration, showing how science pushes boundaries to discover the unknown. Teaching marine biology is more than sharing knowledge—it is sharing wonder. I help learners build a strong foundation while inspiring them to explore deeper questions. Together, we can dive into the mysteries of the deep ocean and discover what lies beyond our current understanding.

My teaching approach in Biology is centred on critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning. I encourage students to ask questions, evaluate data, and build their own scientific understanding. The focus is not only on learning facts but on developing a way of thinking that reflects how real biologists work. I cover a wide range of topics, from cell biology and genetics to evolutionary biology, natural selection, speciation, and phylogenetics. These subjects reveal how life has diversified over time and how scientists uncover the connections between species. Lessons are structured to make complex ideas simple, while still showing the depth and beauty of biological science. I use real-world examples, case studies, and visual tools to help students connect theory with reality. This method allows them to see biology as a living science that shapes medicine, conservation, and technology. My background as a food chemist and green chemist adds another layer of perspective, linking biological concepts with practical solutions for everyday life and the environment. I dedicate myself to refining each learner’s understanding of life’s diversity, guiding them patiently through advanced concepts while building confidence step by step. I also ensure they are prepared for exams, assignments, and higher-level discussions. The goal is to help students gain clarity, curiosity, and the ability to discuss life’s grand narrative with confidence. With the right guidance, every learner can excel and find excitement in exploring the complexity of biology.
