About Clare
I am an experienced Art teacher and curriculum leader with many years of experience teaching Art and Design across GCSE and A-Level. I am also an accredited AQA GCSE Art & Design Associate Moderator, with a strong understanding of assessment and how students can successfully develop their work.
Alongside teaching, I am a practising artist and founder of Quiet Line Arts, so I understand the creative process from both the teacher's and artist's perspective.
I enjoy working individually with students because it gives them the time and space to explore ideas, build confidence and develop their own way of working. My approach is relaxed and encouraging, while helping students think creatively, take risks with their work and make genuine progress.

My lessons are tailored to the individual student, whether they need help developing ideas, improving practical skills or making progress with their GCSE or A-Level Art coursework.
I can support students with sketchbook development, artist research, experimentation, composition, painting and drawing techniques, and portfolio development. As an accredited AQA GCSE Art & Design Associate Moderator, I have current experience of assessment and moderation and can help students understand the assessment objectives and how to develop and evidence their ideas effectively.
Sessions are usually one hour and have a practical, supportive approach. I aim to build confidence while maintaining high expectations, helping students find their own artistic direction rather than simply telling them what to produce.
I offer GCSE and A-Level Art support, including help for students who feel stuck, need help organising and developing their coursework, or would benefit from a fresh pair of experienced eyes.
