About Teresa
I was inspired to be a teacher as I have a love for learning and want to help others to find theirs. There were lots of things in school that I didn't quite understand, and I was just told to learn it. This didn't help me and I know it doesn't serve others either. When learning has a meaning, it's so much more interesting and engaging. Which is what I strive to do with all the children I work with. My favourite thing about being a tutor is guiding my students to the realisation that they are capable of so much more than they originally thought. We don't use phrases such as 'I can't do this', 'I've probably got this wrong', instead we say 'I've tried my best', 'I don't know how to do this yet'. I love seeing how these small changes make such a big difference to not only my students' learning journey but also how their attitude towards learning improves. It's an honour to be in this position.

My teaching style varies between all of my sessions, as it is completely dependent on the child I'm working with! It's really important that our sessions are tailored towards you, your interests and your learning styles. How you learn and what you want to learn shapes our time together and in turn my teaching style! Although you can expect us to be creative, engage our imaginations and most importantly, to have fun :)
