About Mia
ESL teaching is part of a five-year tutoring career during which I have worked with 220 students building practical English skills for daily life and work. My warm, patient teaching style shapes how I introduce difficult concepts, treating mistakes as useful information rather than something to apologize for. Many students arrive anxious about speaking English in public settings, and helping them build real confidence within a handful of sessions is genuinely rewarding work. I remain available between lessons for quick questions, since steady momentum matters enormously in the early stages of learning. Watching a hesitant student speak confidently at work remains deeply satisfying to me.

My ESL lessons prioritize spoken confidence from the very first meeting, encouraging students to attempt full sentences even before every grammar rule feels fully secure. New vocabulary is introduced through real situations a student actually encounters, such as work, shopping, or daily errands, rather than an arbitrary fixed list. The atmosphere stays relaxed throughout, treating mistakes as a completely normal part of learning rather than something to fear or feel embarrassed about. Pronunciation is corrected gently and gradually, never all at once, so a student never feels overwhelmed by too much feedback in a single session. Every lesson ends with a short informal conversation, applying new vocabulary immediately in a low-pressure setting.
