About Nicolas
Studying Kinesiology at Washington State University and the University of Stirling provided me the opportunity to experience teaching primarily through both tennis and fitness classes. A mental health breakdown after finishing led me on an alternative path, and I eventually found teaching ESL online as an aligned option to my situation. DadaABC was the first platform that opened the door to many great students I to this day am glad I met, and now I wish to provide that same experience to those who may struggle with video calls as I did.

Hello, this is Nicolas Fischer. I have been an ESL Teacher for two years with DadaABC, as well as a tennis and fitness coach at Washington State University. My focus is a bit different than traditional teachers, as I aim to provide a catered experience for those who want to practice their english but may not feel comfortable with the video format. Identifying as an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) and having suffered from severe social anxiety myself, I can understand those who may find themselves in a similar position. Audio and text, which are both excellent ways to practice, are the two options I offer. Due to being located in the Pacific Time Zone, call times will be available from 1pm-10pm weekly, although accommodations can be made based on your schedule. If messaging is more comfortable, both email and messaging platforms provide another way to connect without overwhelm. Participation is the joy of life, and I hope I can help provide an outlet that accommodates those who want to connect in a way they feel fully comfortable doing.
