About Molly
Hi, I'm Molly! I'm an experienced tutor who has worked with primary and secondary-aged students, including some children with learning disabilities. I received a study score of 49 in VCE English and am passionate about literature in all its forms. I believe that learning is a personal thing; not everyone learns in the same way, and I take the time to figure out different ways to approach study for different students that will make what we're doing engaging and enjoyable.
I also love cooking, reading, and hanging out with my 14-year-old dog.

Working with primary-aged English students, my lessons involve using additional learning resources downloaded online that are adjacent to the student's curriculum. Depending on the student, I may use educational games or reading-out-loud time as a part of our studies.
At a senior level, I work off the school work English students receive and tasks they've already completed in class, as this gives us the space to see first-hand where their points for refinement are, and possibly do some rewrites together considering new ideas. I will often find accompanying pieces that provide context for the pieces they're studying, or help students design a glossary of terms and phrases for essay writing.
In Drama, tutoring sessions are treated more like rehearsals; we refine the performance and engage with different styles addressed in the criteria. When Drama involves performance development, I like to act as a dramaturg, helping my students research contextual information and art that can feed into the final product.
Overall, I believe that learning is a personal thing; not everyone learns in the same way, and I take the time to figure out different ways to approach studying for different students.
