About Linda
I am a native English speaker, who is studying at an English-speaking university in Bonn and graduated from high school in 2020, where I had English as an advanced course. In addition to my studies, I am now looking for a flexible additional income and have already been tutoring two students (8th and 11th grade) for three months. Since then, they have felt much more confident linguistically and have moved from a D-E range to an A-B range. I myself have noticed how much fun I have being able to help students in my favorite subject, especially when quick improvements are seen and I am more than happy to be able to offer my help on this platform.

I design my lessons freely and at first, I find out exactly where my student's difficulties lie. We then work on these together and initially concentrate on current topics. If I discover weaknesses or uncertainties with former topics during the tutoring, during the student's tasks, we look at them together and I explain what is unclear, as many times as needed, until the student feels secure. Then we apply that together until the student has solidified what he has learned and can apply it himself. We will gradually work on and catch up all areas in which there are uncertainties. In the Abitur or the ZP10 in particular, we would primarily focus on repeating important topics.
Something that used to bother me as a student being tutored, was that I sometimes did not feel understood or that I was afraid to come across as "stupid" because I wanted and needed something explained 20 times, even though that is exactly the reason they were therer. It is therefore particularly important to me, to really listen to my students, to be patient and to determine where their difficulties lie and how to work on them most effectively.
