Hi! My name is Makayla, and I am currently a college student with a strong passion for English, communication, and helping others succeed academically. Throughout my education, I have developed strong skills in writing, reading comprehension, grammar, and academic communication, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in these areas as well.

As a current college student, I understand the challenges that come with learning and mastering English because I have recently navigated many of the same academic experiences myself. My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in the learning process.
A typical lesson begins with identifying the student's goals and areas for improvement, whether that is grammar, essay writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary development, speaking skills, or test preparation. From there, I provide clear explanations, guided practice, and interactive activities that help students apply what they learn in real-world situations. I also incorporate feedback throughout each lesson so students can track their progress and build confidence over time.
What sets me apart is my relatable and supportive teaching style. As a college student, I bring a fresh perspective and an understanding of current academic expectations. I focus not only on helping students improve their English skills but also on developing confidence, critical thinking, and effective communication habits that will benefit them both inside and outside the classroom.
