About Aline
Since middle school, I have been passionate about the English language. After my literary baccalaureate in France, I went on to study Film at the University of Reading for three years and learned throughout the course how to analyse cinematic and televisual pieces in English. Having read, learned and researched in English during those years, I developed my level of English as much in writing as I did orally, thanks to various seminars, lectures, essays and group projects.
In addition, I passed the Cambridge CAE exam in my last year of high school and have since then been certified to have a C2 Level of English. After university, I became a CELTA graduate in August 2020. During the CELTA course, I learned how to teach English specifically to groups of adult French speakers of different levels. Throughout this intensive month, I therefore developed my pedagogical techniques and received valuable advice and guidance regarding lesson planning, which I am now able to do on my own.
Moreover, I have been teaching English privately to younger students (middle school and high school students) for two years. This has enabled me to apply what I have learned during the CELTA course to real situations, both at their home and online. The
lessons are fruitful, and I have noticed improvement from each of my students.

I enjoy teaching this language, and try to transmit skills in an interactive and educational way in order to ensure the development of students' learning in English, both orally and in writing. My teaching style is based on what I learned during CELTA, so a method focused on the students rather than the teacher in order to optimize their speaking time and practice of English. I work with Cambridge books and create my own lessons from them. I prepare the lessons myself by following a precise method depending on the skills that need to be worked on (reading, speaking, writing or listening). I know how to adapt and answer students' questions to carry out the lessons.
