About Shaheen
I am a TESOL-trained English Instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience across schools, tertiary education, adult ESL programs, and multicultural learning environments. I hold both a BA and MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Chittagong and am currently completing a Master of TESOL at Curtin University, Australia.
I currently teach English at English Direct Australia, working with learners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds in ELICOS, IELTS, PTE, English for Academic Purposes (EAP), and General English programs. Previously, I taught at Presidency International School (Cambridge Affiliated) and have extensive experience teaching secondary, tertiary, and adult learners.
My expertise includes grammar, pronunciation, academic writing, speaking, reading, listening, IELTS and PTE preparation, applied linguistics, and communicative English. I specialise in helping learners build confidence, fluency, and real-world communication skills through engaging, supportive, and learner-centred instruction. Whether you are preparing for exams, university study, professional communication, or everyday English, I will create a personalised learning pathway tailored to your goals.
