About Lucy
I am a 20yr old, Psychology Graduate from The University of Nottingham, aspiring to one day be a primary school teacher and currently working as a TA in a special needs school. I work mainly with children aged 4-8 with autism so I am very understanding and patient of children’s needs. I am a kind, friendly, and easy-going individual, eager to gain experience for my future career. I love working with and inspiring children, and I have previously volunteered at my old primary school helping reception children learn to read. As well as being a leader for the Girls Brigade youth group where I organise and teach children to cook, play games/sport, sewing, general arts and crafts, and other badge work. I am confident in Maths, English and Science, and have experience teaching young children basic maths, spelling, reading and writing. I am the eldest of a family with many children and have aided my younger siblings and cousins with their learning. I also am very patient with children, especially those that need extra support, and I have experience dealing with children with learning difficulties, such as dyslexia, also with my younger sister who has autism. i have known Lucy for many years through being involved with the Girls Brigade and over this time she has worked with girls aged from 5 to 16. Lucy worked and communicated well with all age groups and undertook a range of activities including craft , games and badgework, all the girls and leaders loved working with her as she is such an easy person to get on with. Lucy's ability to work with such a vast age range is a credit to her , as is her pleasant and friendly personality. Lucy will be an asset to anyone who needs tutoring
Worked really effectively with a range of children in Early Years Foundation stage and KS1. Lucy is patient, reliable and enthusiastic and gave excellent support to children of all abilities.
