About Elizabeth

Hi, I'm a university student studying English Literature with Creative Writing, with a passion for reading, writing and helping others grow in confidence. I have always enjoyed supporting students with their English skills and creating a positive learning environment where they feel encouraged to ask questions and express themselves. Outside of studying, I enjoy writing creatively and exploring different forms of storytelling.

About the lesson

I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their individual needs, pace and learning style. My aim is to create a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing confidence in their abilities.

Whether your child needs support with reading, spelling and grammar, improving their comprehension skills, developing essay structure, or preparing for GCSE English exams, I will adapt each lesson to help them achieve their goals. I can also support students with creative writing, including developing ideas, improving descriptive writing techniques, building vocabulary and creating engaging stories.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although shorter sessions can be arranged for younger learners. Each lesson is planned around the student's current ability and objectives, using a combination of guided practice, interactive activities, writing exercises, exam-style questions (where appropriate) and constructive feedback to help them make consistent progress.

I am currently studying English Literature with Creative Writing at university, where I have developed strong analytical, writing and communication skills. I also have experience supporting younger students with English Language, helping them improve their reading, comprehension, grammar and written expression. Through this experience, I have developed a patient and encouraging teaching style that focuses on building both confidence and academic ability.

My lessons are suitable for KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE students. Whether your child needs extra support with their schoolwork, wants to strengthen their reading and writing skills, explore their creativity, or prepare for GCSE English Language and English Literature exams, I am committed to helping them make progress in a friendly and motivating learning environment.
