About Lucas
My teaching method is aimed at speaking and listening to English. In my opinion, the best part of studying a foreign language goes far beyond having proof of proficiency or a good differential in the curriculum. I adopt several study techniques and methodologies in which I was able to test and approve, both for teaching and my own use in language learning.
I believe that the best way to progress in English is to improve your vocabulary, understand your strengths and weaknesses, and of course put the language into practice.
Together we will address several subjects, such as essential expressions when speaking English, phrases in everyday context, slangs, among other topics.
I also offer regular English classes for students from level A1, covering the basics of grammar as well as the bases of expression and oral and written comprehension.
I have already had conversational students, regular English students, as well as students focused on taking exams like IELTS and other proficiency exams in the course of this last year of teaching, in which I was able to acquire a great experience in teaching English.
One of the main benefits of private lessons, in addition to personalized teaching, is the 100% attention to the student and his / her needs, without losing focus by groups of students, and it is something that my students value and value a lot.

I graduated from Seneca College, located in Toronto - ON, Canada, in the Chemical Laboratory Technician program (2018 - 2020) and took the IELTS exam in 2018 as one of the college admission requirements.
I have studied English in a simple and natural way since I was a child, and I took regular English classes for almost 4 years. Since then, I have never stopped studying and keeping up with my English skills.
I also study other languages. I took a semester of French at college, and I also have some knowledge of Spanish.
After years of studying languages and some experience in teaching English, I use an approach based on different teaching methodologies, based on personal needs and also on the interests of each student. I use high-quality materials from Cambridge, British Council, Oxford, and many other reliable and internationally known resources. I also use various resources, such as YouTube videos, Podcasts, music, LyricsTraining, among others.
I use several teaching techniques so that the student can then test them and choose the ones that best adapt to their learning style, such as Shadowing, Spaced Repetition System, Immersion, among others.
The classes are aimed at adults and teenagers over 16 (due to different methodologies that need to be used with children and pre-teenagers) who want to learn this wonderful language, and which opens many doors in the professional world.
I always recommend that my conversation classes are for students with a B1 level or higher, ideally between B1-B2 of CEFR. Regular English classes can be taken by students at any level starting from A1.
