About Alexey

I am a university student majoring in engineering. As someone who benefited greatly from the help I received while studying math, I know how big a difference a little push in the right direction can make. I love nothing more than to see my efforts help others out and feel more competent in math.

About the lesson

My lessons will include insightful guidance and plenty of practice to build my students' confidence. I believe that success comes from competence in the basics first.

The lessons will take an hour each (flexible as needed).

Throughout my high school and university years, I have assisted fellow students, always starting simple and increasing the difficulty at a pace that matches their confidence.

I have known Alex for many years. He is exceptionally strong in math and has a long history of helping his peers study and prepare for exams throughout high school and university. His style is very supportive and peer-focused, which makes learning with him feel less frightening. I highly recommend him because he knows exactly how to explain difficult math concepts in a way that just makes sense.

I’ve known Alexey since he was a little boy and have always been impressed by his ability in Maths. He has consistently been one of the top students, having attended extra maths classes since the age of 13, and is now working towards an engineering degree.

Alex is friendly, patient, and easy to communicate with. He knows the New Zealand maths curriculum well and has a great ability to connect with young people and explain things in a way they can understand. I’m confident he would make a wonderful tutor and help his students grow in both skills and confidence.
