About Jade
Hello! My name is Jade, and I'm a civil engineering student dedicated to helping the next generation succeed and thrive in STEM. Growing up in a family without a STEM background, I often felt alone and overwhelmed in my studies until I found a supportive tutor. That experience taught me firsthand that having an understanding mentor can completely transform a student's academic journey. I strive to be that turning point for my students, making challenging concepts clear and ensuring they never navigate their education alone.

As a tutor, I know learning can feel difficult or intimidating. That is why creating a safe, comfortable environment where students feel confident is my top priority. What sets me apart is my experience as a STEM summer camp counselor, which has taught me how to break down complex subjects into more engaging, interactive lessons tailored for middle and high school students. Because I myself am a visual and hands-on learner, I know that visual aids and practical activities help students retain information best. Within our sessions, there will always be room to ask questions and deepen your understanding of the material (questions are highly encouraged). My lesson plans emphasize repetition until a concept is fully understood, allowing us to build up to more advanced topics smoothly and making challenging materials easier to digest while building lasting academic confidence.
