About Shehad

Hello! My name is Shehad, and I am currently an Engineering Physics student at the University of Calgary with previous studies in Mechatronics Engineering. Mathematics and science have always been my strongest subjects, and I graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and a 98% average.

What makes me different as a tutor is that I genuinely enjoy understanding how things work at their core. Throughout my academic journey, I have studied advanced mathematics, physics, engineering, programming, electronics, and modern physics topics, while also helping classmates and friends understand difficult concepts.

I am patient, friendly, and committed to creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them develop confidence, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the subjects they are studying.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring focuses on understanding rather than memorization. Throughout my academic journey in Engineering Physics and Mechatronics Engineering, I have found that students often struggle not because they are incapable, but because nobody has explained the concepts in a way that truly makes sense.

I specialize in breaking down difficult ideas into simple, intuitive explanations and helping students understand the "why" behind formulas, equations, and scientific concepts. Whether the topic is mathematics, physics, chemistry, or engineering-related coursework, my goal is to build confidence and develop genuine understanding rather than short-term memorization.

Lessons are adapted to each student's learning style and can include step-by-step problem solving, visual explanations, real-world examples, and exam preparation. I work with students ranging from middle school and high school to introductory university-level STEM courses.

As an Engineering Physics student with experience in advanced mathematics, physics, programming, electronics, modern physics, radioactivity, and engineering projects, I enjoy helping students discover that STEM subjects can be logical, engaging, and even fun when approached the right way.
