About Gaurav
I am Gaurav Mathur an Engineering graduate in Electronics and Communications, wondering what I am doing in IT? It all started 18 years back, just after dot com bubble when getting an employment after completing college was a dream, and I got an opportunity in IT which was hard to resist, although my heart always floated in Radio Waves and Digital Signal Processing.
Initially IT was completely extra-terrestrial to me, but soon my impression flipped, triggered by me coming first in my C programming training class, followed by Java and then Cobol and finally I was so motivated that I completed my Java Certification (SCJP) even before my IT training program of 6 months got over.
Now here I am after completing 18 successful years in IT working in various different domains like Public Sector, Medical, Insurance, Automotive and finally Telecom, learning and crawling my way up with delivering projects inside and outside Spark, across different technologies and platforms like Oracle Siebel CRM, Salesforce CRM, Oracle JD Edwards ERP, Informatica, Sun Java CAPS EAI, Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL Server DB, DB2 on AS400, OBIEE, Oracle DAC, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), Jenkins, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Django, RedHat OpenShift.
Personally, I am a big fan of cricket and in free time I study physics, love Einstein theory of relativity, you can find me watching and learning from all the popular physics channels on YouTube. Same passion for learning continues in my professional life, I follow the saying “Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.” which keeps me open to learning.
