About Misha
Hi, I'm Misha.
My approach starts from a simple belief: almost no student is truly "bad at maths" - more often, gaps in the foundations were never properly addressed, and that's what holds them back later on.
I have three years of experience tutoring maths, both in person and online, with a particular focus on GCSE and also cover A-level maths. As part of my role in a secondary school, I tutor SEND students 1:1, including students with ADHD, autism, speech and language difficulties, dyslexia, specific learning difficulties, and trauma. I adapt my teaching to suit different ways of thinking about maths rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
I currently work in learning support at a secondary school, which means I'm available around school holidays. During term time I can generally do midweek sessions, though weekends tend to work best for me.

Building confidence or filling gaps?
We start with a quick assessment of exam board and current level, then focus on the specific foundations holding you back - explained clearly, not just as formulas to memorise.
Already at a 7 and aiming for 8/9?
We'll be focussing on tightening exam technique, cutting out small errors, and tackling the harder problem-solving questions that separate a 7 from a 9.
A typical session:
Review recent work or past papers to spot what's costing marks
Work through concepts or advanced problems, depending on level
Practise exam-style questions with timing in mind
Short, focused homework to build on progress
I tutor GCSE and A-level maths, online or in person, and adapt my approach for students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or other learning differences. Parents get regular updates on progress.
