About Louisa

I’m a qualified British teacher and Head of Year at a leading British school in Dubai, with extensive teaching and leadership experience across the UK and UAE.

I specialise in helping learners of all ages build confidence and develop their English skills. With extensive experience supporting pupils from a wide range of ages and international backgrounds, I can help with both arithmetic, as well as reasoning and problem solving.

My approach is warm, patient and encouraging. I take the time to understand each learner’s strengths, challenges, goals and preferred learning style, ensuring every lesson is personalised, purposeful and engaging.

Whether you’re looking for extra support for your child’s understanding, help with school work or an opportunity to improve your own knowledge, I’ll provide tailored, professional tuition to help you achieve your goals.

About the lesson

I use our first lesson to identify each learner’s strengths and areas for development. I then use informal assessments in every session, alongside monthly progress assessments, to monitor improvement and identify what to focus on next. Detailed feedback is provided to parents after each session, with ideas on what else can be worked on at home in-between our sessions.

Lessons are interactive, supportive and focused on real progress, with plenty of opportunities to practise in a fun and relaxed environment.

Sessions can be adapted to any level, for any age.

Don’t forget - your first 30 minutes are completely free! We’ll use this time to get to know each other, discuss your goals and complete a short initial assessment to identify strengths and areas to work on. This will help me tailor future lessons to your needs and make the most of our time together.

Louisa tutored my daughter following the Covid lockdowns to help brush up her maths and English. Our daughter had lost confidence particularly in maths, and Louisa was extremely patient and took the time to explain in a way that she could understand.
