About Ryan

Hi, I’m Ryan — a dedicated and experienced tutor with a strong academic background in physics and math. I recently graduated from Emory University with a B.S. in Physics, a minor in Computer Science, and a 3.96 GPA. I’m also a proud member of the Physics Honor Society. I’ve been tutoring since 2020 and have worked with students at both the high school and college levels. I know how overwhelming these subjects can feel, and I take pride in helping students build confidence, master challenging material, and achieve their academic goals. This fall, I’ll be pursuing graduate studies in Quantum Engineering at ETH Zurich, one of the world’s leading institutions in science and technology. My continued academic journey reflects my deep commitment to learning and teaching complex subjects in an approachable way. My tutoring style is supportive, clear, and adaptive to each student’s learning pace. Whether you're preparing for an exam, struggling with a specific topic, or simply want to deepen your understanding, I'm here to help you succeed. — Ryan

As a tutor, I believe that true understanding comes from connecting abstract concepts to intuitive ideas. My goal is to make physics and math feel less intimidating by breaking them down into logical steps and engaging examples. I approach every lesson with patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for the subject.

A typical lesson with me starts by identifying what the student is struggling with—concepts, problem-solving, or application. I then tailor the session to target those gaps, using visual aids, practice problems, and Socratic questioning to encourage active learning. I adapt my pace to each student’s comfort level, reinforcing foundational knowledge before advancing.

What sets me apart is my academic rigor and approachable teaching style. I graduated from Emory University with a 3.96 GPA, a major in Physics, a minor in Computer Science, and membership in the Physics Honor Society. I’ve worked as a tutor since 2020, helping students from high school to college succeed in physics and math.

These lessons are ideal for high school students preparing for AP Physics or Calculus, college students tackling introductory or intermediate physics and math courses, or anyone who wants to deepen their conceptual understanding.
