About Brittany
I have four years of teaching experience in 1st and 2nd grades. I have my Bachelor's degree in elementary education and my Master's in reading. I have also tutored students in grades K-12 in reading, math, and test prep. I have taught up to 27 students at a time.

I find that students learn by me finding the right learning method for them. Not all students learn the same way, and I want each student to find their specific mode of learning--tactile, kinesthetic, visual, verbal, musical, interpersonal, etc. It is important to have a portion of the lesson attributed to the teacher breaking down the steps and process of the new skill with students also having a chance to practice alongside the teacher, and then independently. Students need a chance to practice skills that can transfer to real life scenarios and prepare them for being 21st century learners.
