About Emma

Hello! My name is Emma, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at Husson University. I am passionate about helping students feel confident in their abilities and creating a positive, supportive learning environment.

I have experience working with children from 6 weeks to 10 years old and have developed a strong understanding of how to communicate with and support children at different stages of their development. My education has provided me with a strong foundation in math, science, social studies, and English.

As a tutor, I am patient, dependable, and committed to adapting my teaching approach to each student’s individual needs. I believe that every student can succeed when they are given the right support, encouragement, and learning strategies. My goal is not only to help students improve academically but also to help them develop confidence and a positive attitude toward learning.

I look forward to helping students reach their goals and making learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is patient, supportive, and personalized to each student’s individual learning style and needs. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are encouraged to build confidence in their abilities. I use a variety of teaching techniques, including clear explanations, examples, guided practice, hands-on activities, and repetition when needed.

A typical lesson begins by reviewing previous material and identifying any areas the student may be struggling with. We then introduce or review the main topic, work through examples together, and allow the student to practice independently with guidance and support. I also make time at the end of each lesson to review what we learned and identify anything we should focus on during the next session.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my experience working with children from 6 weeks to 10 years old, along with my education in Elementary Education at Husson University. I am passionate about helping students learn in a way that is engaging, encouraging, and suited to their individual needs. I strive to make learning enjoyable while helping students develop both academic skills and confidence.

My lessons are primarily intended for elementary-aged students, including students who need additional support with English, math, science, and social studies. I am happy to work with students at different skill levels and adapt lessons to meet their specific academic goals, whether they need help understanding a new concept, completing homework, preparing for an assessment, or strengthening foundational skills.
