About Jennifer
I am an educational therapist, specializing in academic support in the areas of phonics, phonemic awareness, reading fluency, reading comprehension, writing, spelling, math and organizational skills. I work with elementary school age students who have learning differences ranging from mild to moderate disabilities like dyslexia, auditory processing, and visual-spatial weaknesses to ADHD. I have a private practice and have worked in several private schools as a learning specialist in both San Francisco and Marin County. I am trained in many programs including Orton Gillingham, LindaMood-Bell, Wilson Reading, Making Math Real, Great Leaps, and Read Naturally. My primary goal is to instill confidence in each of my students so that they not only improve in skill areas, but have a love of learning.

I Instruct and facilitate one-on-one academic support for students in kindergarten through seventh grades in the areas of reading, phonics, phonemic awareness, writing, spelling, math and organizational skills.
Many of my students have mild to moderate learning differences like dyslexia, ADHD or auditory processing issues. I instill confidence in my students so that they have a love of learning and feel confident. I do this while boosting their weaknesses so that they progress in academic areas like reading.
I develop lessons and use strategies that cater to each child’s learning styles and strengths using multi-sensory programs like Orton Gillingham, Linda MoodBell, Wilson Reading and Making Math Real.
