About Irene

I am a student- just like you:) I live in Dubai so I have often interacted with people from all over the world and went to an international boarding school where I saw how this applies even in our education systems.

I absolutely love teaching purely since I have many younger cousins and have worked with a lot of younger children at school.

Interestingly, I have worked with orphanages filled with children who do not speak the same language as meโ€ฆI taught English to 5-10 year olds who always wanted to learn through games and needed ample explanation.

I was fortunate enough to have teachers that believed that teaching others was the best way to learn. I took that to heart and have literally made lesson plans for my peers who needed aid academically.

I have learnt Violin for 5 yearsโ€ฆ so I can teach the basics to grade 2 TCL.

Hi!! I am a student studying Law. I went to boarding school and have a younger sister so I have always been tutoring someone or the other. I am flexible with the duration of the class and completely understand when a student feels saturated so typically 2 sessions per week for about an hour and a half. I am extremely interested in Economics and have done up to date and in depth research in Maths and Economics. I believe Real World Examples, Mnemonics and having students reiterate concepts back to me to ensure concepts stay fresh in their minds. I will of course try my best to make references to the interest of the tutee simply since I understand the importance of viewing something difficult in a positive light. I have worked with younger children aged 5-10 to teach basics which taught me patience and I would love the opportunity to continue this.
