About Gleb

I am an undergraduate student at Durham University studying Economics, Politics, and Philosophy, with A levels in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, and Philosophy. As a dedicated tutor, I am committed to helping students strengthen their academic performance while developing a genuine interest in their subjects.
Having recently completed public examinations myself, I understand the challenges and pressures they involve. I work to prepare students effectively so they can approach exams with confidence and ease. I tailor my lessons to each student’s individual learning style and needs, using regular feedback to ensure that my approach is both effective and engaging.
I bring with me around a year of professional online tutoring experience with TutorCruncher, alongside two years of informal experience supporting students at my school.

About the lesson

I offer lessons tailored to students of all levels, from those building a foundation to those aiming for top exam performance.
My teaching style has been shaped not only by my own academic journey, but also through insights and conversations with excellent teachers I’ve had along the way.
In my lessons, I focus strongly on visualising concepts, using diagrams to illustrate certain ideas, and showing how each idea connects to the bigger picture. This approach makes learning more intuitive and helps students see the subject as a coherent whole rather than a set of isolated facts. This provides a solid base for solving the hardest questions likely to come up in exams, but also for moving on to the next level, so that the jump from GCSEs to A level, or A level to university, doesn't feel so big.
I also often encourage my students to go beyond what is required for their exams, challenging them to develop a deeper understanding of each topic. This ensures there are no hidden gaps in knowledge that could cause difficulties later, while also building confidence and long-term mastery.
