About Giulio

Hi everyone and welcome to my profile!
Let me introduce myself: I am Giulio, a professional drummer from Perugia with the desire to spread as much as possible what I learned during my long study path of the instrument.

My first approach with the drums took place at 10 years old and, from that moment on, the passion for musical language has become increasingly intense, so much so as to motivate me to undertake a long journey of self-improvement, with the ultimate aim of transforming strong love in a profession.

The decision to devote myself wholeheartedly to the development and refinement of my drumming skills led me to attend the "Battery Popular" academic course at the "Saint Louis College of Music" in Rome, as well as drawing on experience of real living cornerstones of the sector, both in Perugia and in Rome.

After having for years favored similar musical genres such as Rock, Metal, Progressive and Hardcore (sharing the stage with international bands such as Protest the Hero, The Contortionist, Mnemic, Destrage, DGM, Secret Sphere, The End at the Beginning, Despite Exile and many others), the path I have taken has led me to acquire the language of dance music, with the entry into consolidated formations of Central Italy such as Orchestra Spettacolo Rita Braida, Laura Polverini Band, Rio Cafè and others.

About the lesson

As the spokesperson for the physical instrument par excellence, my task will be to gradually bring anyone who has the desire to approach the battery, with the promise of creating a relationship of trust and mutual knowledge between me and the student, so as to meet his tastes and his expressive needs ... all in an atmosphere of serenity and healthy fun! :)

My lessons are mainly aimed at students who start from scratch or have a medium-low experience, together with all those who, in addition to wanting to improve their relationship with the tool (basic techniques, reading, sticking, counting, groove, musicality, etc.) are interested in theoretical-practical insights within the following topics: odd times, compound times, polyrhythm and polymetry.

The fundamental ingredient of each phase of the didactic path that we will face together will be to play and practice MUSIC!
