About Axel
I am a Rock and Metal drummer, with experience in studio and live performance. I am currently working as a drummer in the Nu Metal/Industrial band, LARVA (2018-Present) with whom I have performed in most of the important Metal forums in CDMX and on various tours within the Mexican Republic. Likewise, I carry out an independent project called Metazoa, where I am a drummer, vocalist and composer (2020-Present).

After an evaluation of the knowledge that the student has (the same ones that are not necessary), I begin by reinforcing the basic theoretical concepts for the understanding of contemporary music. I teach music theory, reading and writing drum scores, drum tuning, among other things for the theoretical part. For practice, we start with the basics, knowledge of the various sounds that a standard drum kit generates and later with various methods: Tommy Igoe's Great Hands for a Lifetime and Groove Essentials mainly (no purchase necessary). Finally, I apply a theoretical-practical part, where the knowledge learned in both previous sections is consolidated to form a real execution by the student. This part is where you can suggest songs of your personal liking to play, where we do a theoretical analysis to move on to practice and play, always taking into account the level you are at.
