About Trevor
As a current and experienced art educator in both the public school academic stream and with the IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma Program in Visual Arts, I am constantly evolving and curating my teaching practice based on the students in front of me and their specific goals and needs. Let's work together to push your drawing, challenge the way we see what's in front of us, and find growth through exploring expression on the page.

Thank you for considering me as a facilitator to your drawing journey.
With 18 years of experience as a public educator, I have refined my approach to help each individual find their own success in drawing. Whether you are a beginner at age 80, feeling pretty confident at age 14, or anywhere in between, I can provide you with the guidance, practice, structure, and support to enhance the effectiveness of your work.
We'll begin with the basics and fundamentals of seeing and mark-making, then progress in the direction that builds upon the learned foundation. We'll examine light and its effect on the subject and find ways to replicate it with a variety of media from pencil and charcoal to oil pastels and ink.
Working from images and from life, we'll explore the figure, still life objects, landscapes and whatever suits your personal interest and learning goals!
The lessons are flexible, adaptable, and always personalized in order for the student (you!) to find the greatest opportunity for growth. Let me help build your capacity in drawing so that you can create with confidence.
